Lando Norris diz que McLaren precisa de perfeição para competir com Max Verstappen.

Lando Norris has been exceptionally impressive in the ongoing 2024 Formula 1 season. The McLaren driver believes that his team has the ability to challenge Red Bull if they avoid errors in the upcoming races. McLaren has been impressive this season and is one of the most convincing teams alongside Red Bull.

Currently, Red Bull leads the championship with a 60-point advantage over Ferrari in second place. This has been achieved with the help of their three-time world champion driver, Max Verstappen. Despite facing strong competition from McLaren and Ferrari on certain occasions, Verstappen has won seven out of the ten races this season.

Lando Norris acknowledges that his team needs to be at their best to challenge Verstappen’s dominance. He also recognizes that any mistakes from this point onwards will significantly affect McLaren’s chances as the title race intensifies.

During a media day, Norris stated, “We are now at a level where everything needs to be perfect. We are facing one of the greatest F1 drivers, who is performing at an incredibly high level. Any imperfections, like my start, will come at a cost. It’s as simple as that.”

McLaren currently holds the third position in the championship and has come very close to potential victories in the last two races. The team is determined to give their best in the upcoming races in Spielberg and Silverstone, as these will play a crucial role in shaping their title chances this season.

Lando Norris has requested McLaren to introduce more updates to gain an advantage over Red Bull and Ferrari in the race in Spielberg. McLaren has consistently performed well this season, finishing on the podium in the last six races.

Norris believes that McLaren has been very close to securing pole positions in recent races, which is a positive sign for the team. However, he also acknowledges that there are small aspects in which McLaren falls slightly behind Red Bull.

Despite facing strong competition from Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes, Norris has confidence in his team’s ability to come out on top. He states that the MCL38 is a strong contender on all tracks, regardless of any challenges they may encounter along the way.
