The picturesque Laguna Seca race track was the venue for the IndyCar event the previous weekend, with the historic circuit occupying an unconventional spot in the middle of the racing calendar.

In the final part of the race, chaos ensued, but Alex Palou managed to maintain his position at the front of the pack, securing his second victory of the season and taking the lead in terms of points.

Both Colton Herta and Alexander Rossi had impressive performances, resulting in podium finishes for both drivers. However, they couldn’t help but feel a touch of disappointment for falling short of claiming the win by such a narrow margin.

The Penske team had a weekend that could be described as mediocre at best and catastrophic at worst. After a dominant display at Road America, the team’s drivers finished in 7th, 19th, and 21st positions.

When IndyCar returns to the track in two weeks, all cars will be equipped with the highly anticipated hybrid components. Whether this will have a significant impact on the race order remains to be seen.
