Charles Leclerc acredita que a Ferrari enfrentará um desafio difícil contra Lando Norris e Max Verstappen no Grande Prêmio da Espanha.

Charles Leclerc secured the fifth starting position for the Spanish GP. The F1 paddock arrived in Barcelona with expectations of a fierce competition between two prominent competitors. However, the qualifying brought a surprising twist, with another team making a strong advance and pushing Ferrari back. This raised concerns that Ferrari may struggle to keep up with their rivals at the front of the pack.

After Charles Leclerc’s impressive victory in Monaco, Ferrari emerged as a potential title contender. Experts believed they could dominate the 4.6-kilometer track in Spain and challenge the strength of Max Verstappen and Red Bull. However, the Italian team seemed to lack speed during qualifying, and Lando Norris claimed the pole position, narrowly beating Verstappen.

Despite the high hopes, Leclerc had predicted that Red Bull would surpass Ferrari. Noting the speed of the SF-24, he anticipates a difficult race for the Italian team. Leclerc expressed his disappointment with the team’s performance but remains confident in their setup for the race. He acknowledges the challenge of catching up to Norris and Verstappen but believes they have a chance to compete with Mercedes.

Leclerc admitted his disappointment with the team’s below-expected performance in qualifying. He also acknowledged that surpassing Verstappen and Norris may be a challenging task, making them the target to beat for Ferrari in the race. While Norris and McLaren were surprised by the impressive lap from the British driver that secured the pole position, Leclerc was not shocked by Ferrari’s drop. He believes that the qualifying sets a precedent for the upcoming races.

Leclerc shared his perspective on Ferrari’s season. He acknowledged that he was over three tenths of a second behind Norris, but considers the Catalunya track representative of the team’s performance. This trend may not please the Tifosi, the passionate Ferrari fans. Despite the disappointment, Leclerc remains optimistic and focused on the upcoming race. If a fierce battle occurs between the reigning champion and the young British driver, Ferrari may have a chance to secure the victory.
