Sergio Perez destaca importância da Classificação para a Red Bull após dificuldades nos treinos de sexta-feira no Grande Prêmio da Espanha.

Sergio Perez stated that Red Bull needs a good result in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. Perez did not have a good performance in FP2. The Mexican driver only managed 13th place, while his teammate secured fifth place. Perez emphasized the importance of qualifying and expressed his dissatisfaction with starting from 13th position on Saturday.

According to Perez, it is crucial to have a good performance in qualifying this weekend. The Mexican driver mentioned that, although they started FP2 positively, they made several changes to the car during the session. These adjustments may have caused them to lose their way in terms of performance and setup. Perez believes that the team needs to analyze what went wrong and study the data to make the right decisions going forward.

Perez stated that the team experimented with various changes to the car during FP2. He believes that they collected enough data to make informed decisions for Saturday’s qualifying sessions. The Mexican driver acknowledged the difficulty of overtaking at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Therefore, it is crucial for him to start at the front for Sunday’s race, as overtaking other cars on the track will be a challenge.

Reflecting on Perez’s performance during FP2, it was mentioned that changes were made to the car’s setup. In the morning session, Perez was only four tenths of a second off the fastest lap time, which was considered acceptable by Marko. Despite these modifications, Perez remained competitive compared to the faster cars on the track.

During the afternoon session, Perez’s performance dropped, as indicated by Verstappen’s feedback. The difference between his lap times and the fastest times increased to a full second, which concerned Marko. The octogenarian emphasized the importance of analyzing the data to make the necessary adjustments and improve Perez’s performance. Helmut Marko believed that this analysis was crucial to ensure that Perez could be faster and more competitive in Saturday’s qualifying.

Arguably, Marko’s observation highlighted the importance of making effective changes in the setup to improve performance and maintain competitiveness. Fans are hopeful that the changes made to Perez’s setup will result in positive results in Saturday’s qualifying session.
