The Jeep Avenger, elected Car of the Year in Europe in 2023, has already received over 100,000 orders in Europe since its launch in late 2022.

Jeep’s sales in the B-SUV segment have been driven by the commercial performance of the Avenger, which, after the introduction of the 100% electric version, has seen its range grow with the Avenger e-Hybrid, and more recently with the 4xe, the all-wheel drive hybrid variant that will hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The 4xe variant combines a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder internal combustion engine with 136 hp with two electric motors of 21 kW (28 hp) each, capable of powering both axles and providing a torque of 1900 Nm to the rear wheels. Benefiting from “power looping” technology, the new Avenger 4xe ensures all-wheel drive, regardless of the battery’s charge state.

Paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, for fully electric driving at low speeds thanks to its integrated electric motor, this configuration not only enhances the relaxed performance that Jeep enthusiasts desire, but also introduces an increased level of excitement through the E-Boost function in Sport Mode.

The 4xe powertrain sets a new benchmark in the Avenger hybrid range, offering higher power and torque, with an additional 36 hp and 25 Nm compared to the e-Hybrid FWD version. This results in faster acceleration and a higher top speed, while maintaining only a minimal increase in CO2 emissions.

As a result, the Avenger 4xe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of up to 194 km/h (+10 km/h compared to the e-hybrid version).

The success of the Avenger is further highlighted by the impressive performance of the BEV variants, which account for 25% of total sales, marking a significant shift towards sustainable mobility solutions.

“With an impressive number of 100,000 customer orders, the Avenger is a testament to our unwavering dedication to innovation and quality, redefining and setting new standards, leaving an indelible mark in the B-SUV segment and beyond,” said Eric Laforge, Director of Jeep in Europe.
