Sergio Perez feliz em competir ao lado de Max Verstappen.

This is a paragraph.

This is another paragraph.

Before the Canadian Grand Prix, it was revealed that the Mexican driver had signed a two-year extension, which essentially constitutes a 1+1 agreement. Sergio Perez recently stated that the experience of competing alongside Max Verstappen has strengthened his determination to stay at Red Bull. This feeling arises after the announcement of his new contract with the team. Before the Canadian Grand Prix, it was revealed that the Mexican driver had signed a two-year extension, which is effectively a 1+1 agreement. This agreement guarantees Perez’s position at Red Bull until 2025 and grants the team the option to keep him for 2026. Perez received several offers from other teams before finalizing the extension, but his main goal was to continue at Red Bull. “I had some alternatives outside of this team, but my ambition was to persist with this team,” Perez told RACER. “I am extremely happy. I love collaborating with this group of mechanics and engineers. Everyone works exceptionally hard and gives their best.” “I am extremely excited to continue my journey with this team and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me. I sincerely hope to end my career with this team,” he added. A significant factor in Perez’s decision to stay was the chance to continue as Verstappen’s teammate. The current world champion has been virtually unbeatable and constantly pushes Perez to his limit. Despite the difficulty, Perez values this challenge, which influenced his decision to stay at Red Bull. “I appreciate the challenge of being Max’s teammate. That motivated me to persist, precisely because it is such a formidable challenge. It forces you to keep learning and growing,” Perez said. He acknowledged the mental demands of partnering with Verstappen, commenting: “You have also seen with other drivers how tough it is. Red Bull is different from any other team in that sense. Mentally, it completely exhausts you, and you also need to be resolute to withstand the pressure within this team.” Perez recognizes that having a teammate like Verstappen presents a unique challenge that he would not find elsewhere. He strives to improve himself by leveraging Verstappen’s exceptional level of performance. “From an external perspective, a lot is already happening, and within the team, you are competing with someone who sets the standard by performing at such a remarkable level,” he explained. “He is in perfect harmony with the car. If you switch to another team with a different teammate, the dynamics change, but that is the challenge that I simply love.”
