Leapmotor International vai produzir novo SUV na Europa

A Leapmotor International, a joint venture led by Stellantis with Chinese company Leapmotor, will start operations in Europe, including Portugal, in September.

It is already known that the new brand will be available in France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Greece, Romania, and the first model to arrive at dealerships will be the small T03, a five-door electric model, with low cost, aimed at the A segment, but with interior space of the B segment, with an announced range of 265 km.

The start of production of the T03 has already begun at the Stellantis factory in Tychy, Poland, and “CarNews China” now reports that in the first quarter of 2025 a new compact SUV from Leapmotor should enter production at the Polish factory, a model that is currently known internally as A12 and is expected to be equipped with LiDAR technology, as well as state-of-the-art intelligent driving functions. In addition, the A12 is expected to offer two types of powertrain: 100% electric and hybrid versions.

It should be noted that by 2027, Leapmotor International plans to launch three more models, two hatchbacks in 2026, and a new SUV in 2027.
