Aston Martin: Carro da F1 tem vulnerabilidades e é desafiador de pilotar.

Aston Martin explains the challenges they are facing in the 2024 Formula 1 season. The team acknowledges that their car is difficult to control, which has left their drivers vulnerable to narrow gaps between teams. Despite starting the season with a competitive package, Aston Martin has fallen behind and now finds themselves in the middle of the pack. The recent updates made to the car in Imola only exacerbated the problem, causing difficulties for Fernando Alonso. Aston Martin boss, Krack, admits they have not yet found a solution to the car’s control issues, which is forcing their drivers to be more cautious and costing them positions on the grid. The team is aware that confidence in the car is crucial, as its absence prevents the drivers from achieving their best performance. Aston Martin is determined to resolve these issues and is working hard to bring updates to the car as quickly as possible. Krack emphasizes that if there were a major problem, they would have already solved it, indicating that the problems they face are multifaceted.

However, Krack agrees with Alonso’s assessment that Aston Martin is performing at a level closer to a top team, despite the lack of results to support this claim. The former Porsche engineer believes that the British brand is better positioned now than it was a year ago to take advantage of the upcoming regulatory changes in 2026.

“We are on the path to becoming a bigger and more successful team,” he said. “We have several infrastructure projects underway. Alonso’s comment probably refers to last year, when we had some good results but weren’t fully prepared as a team. We were in a different situation back then, still operating in our old factory without significant changes. However, in the past 12 months, we have grown and improved, and that’s what Alonso is referring to.

“Unfortunately, our current results are not as impressive as last year, but that can often be attributed to circumstantial factors. Other teams have progressed more in comparison. However, overall, we are in a better position in terms of how we approach and discuss things, as well as our ability to make changes. That’s what Alonso feels has improved compared to last year. It’s a solid foundation to build on, and the results will come.”
