Alpine revela principais fatores para selecionar pilotos de F1 em 2025.

The head of the Alpine F1 team, Bruno Famin, has revealed that the team is prioritizing “professionalism” as the key factor in determining their lineup of drivers for the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Enstone-based team recently announced that Esteban Ocon will not be extending his contract and will be leaving the team at the end of the current season. Ocon and Pierre Gasly, who have been teammates since last year, have had several conflicts, including a controversial incident during the first lap of the Monaco Grand Prix. However, Famin emphasized the importance of having two drivers who can work together effectively.

According to Famin, the relationship between the drivers is not the main concern; instead, professionalism is what matters most. He stated that the team needs professional drivers who can collaborate with their teammates to achieve the best results for the team. With Ocon’s imminent departure, Alpine will have an available seat for the next season, and reserve driver Jack Doohan is considered the favorite to be Gasly’s partner. Doohan, who finished third in the Formula 2 championship last year, has been participating in test sessions with Alpine using older generation cars. He also had the opportunity to drive in the FP1 session in Canada, although his participation was limited due to wet weather conditions. Famin confirmed that Doohan is a strong candidate for a permanent seat in the 2025 season and expressed satisfaction with his progress and testing program. Famin also mentioned other potential candidates, including Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas, Guanyu Zhou, and Alpine’s World Endurance Championship driver Mick Schumacher.
