Stellantis vai vender elétricos chineses de baixo custo da Leapmotor na Europa
The Stellantis “join venture” with Leapmotor has already begun production of new models for the European market at the Stellantis factory in Tychy, Poland. This information is reported by “AutomotiveNews Europe” citing a note from analysts at “Jefferies”. Recall that Stellantis recently announced that Leapmotor International will start operations in Europe, including Portugal, in September through 200 dealerships by the end of 2024. In addition, the new company has expansion plans for India and the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and South America. The first model to hit the market will be the T03, a small electric urban car with five doors, low cost, intended for segment A, but with interior space from segment B, with an announced range of 265 km.

Another one of the models that will arrive in Europe later this year is the C10, which is announced as Leapmotor’s first global product, built according to global design and safety standards. The C10 is based on the LEAP3.0 technological architecture, developed by Leapmotor itself, integrating leading intelligent electric technologies in the industry, including an integrated electronic center and electrical architecture, cell-to-chassis (CTC) technology, and a top-of-the-line intelligent cockpit. This electric model in the D segment announces a WLTP cycle range of 420 km.

“Jefferies” reports that the first units of Leapmotor International’s utility vehicle have already come off the assembly line in Poland, and that a second model, the A12 SUV, is expected to enter production in the first quarter of 2025.
