FIA insiste que regulamentos da F1 para 2026 são simples apesar de críticas sobre complexidade.

The FIA stated that the rules introduced for the 2026 season are not overly complex. The Aston Martin team boss, on the other hand, expressed concerns about potential confusion among fans. However, the FIA defended the proposed rules, stating that they are not as difficult to understand as rocket science.

Nicholas Tombazis, FIA’s single-seater director, disagreed with the team boss’s statement. He explained that the new plan is slightly more intricate than the current system, allowing the 2026 cars to approach each other through electric power, similar to how DRS works.

Tombazis, however, emphasized that the new system is not overly difficult to understand. While acknowledging the need to provide clear explanations, they believe that the rules are not overly complicated when properly explained.

A Williams driver expressed concerns about the possible deceleration of the cars. He highlighted the efforts being made to avoid speed loss at the end of straights due to the MGU-K. Additionally, Albon admitted that dealing with the challenges imposed by the new engine regulations has made the situation more complicated and difficult to manage.

Alex Albon believes that the complexities arising from the new engine regulations should not be a barrier for fans and drivers to understand. He urges the FIA to address this issue and make the necessary changes to avoid confusion. The current situation is increasing complexity and challenges within the sport, which should be avoided.
