Especialista da F1 afirma que crítica de Jacques Villeneuve trouxe à tona versão original de Daniel Ricciardo no Canadá.

The F1 analyst Tom Clarkson believed that the comments made by Jacques Villeneuve may have served as motivation for Daniel Ricciardo during the Canadian GP. Ricciardo, who has struggled to make an impact in Formula 1 since his return last season, engaged in a verbal dispute with the former F1 champion before the race. According to Clarkson, this encounter brought out the best in Ricciardo, reminiscent of his past performances.

Villeneuve expressed doubts about Ricciardo’s place on the grid, to which the 34-year-old driver responded with a direct and forceful reply. Clarkson speculated that Villeneuve’s criticism may have driven Ricciardo. The Honey Badger had a good performance in Montreal, finishing in eighth place and earning valuable points for his team, RB.

In addition, Clarkson suggested that this race weekend may have been Ricciardo’s most impressive since he joined RB (then known as AlphaTauri) as a substitute last season. The analyst proposed that Villeneuve’s comments brought back the old Ricciardo, when he was at the peak of his career with Red Bull.

The F1 journalist [Author’s Name] acknowledged that Jacques Villeneuve had the right to express his opinion. However, [Author’s Name] believed that the Canadian had a simplistic view of Ricciardo’s career in F1. The journalist pointed out that Ricciardo has not had complete difficulties in the past five seasons of the sport.

In addition, [Author’s Name] was pleased to see Ricciardo silence his critics in the best possible way, delivering a good performance in Montreal. However, the reporter noted that an issue with RB resulted in Ricciardo and [teammate’s name] losing some positions at the start of the Grand Prix.

Without a doubt, Daniel Ricciardo will be looking to build upon his success at the Canadian GP and continue scoring points in the upcoming races. The future of the Australian driver at RB for next season is still uncertain. Therefore, the Honey Badger must match or even surpass Yuki Tsunoda’s performance in the upcoming races to secure his place at the top of motorsport in 2025.
