Max Verstappen aims for rare conquest in motorsport.

Max Verstappen mira conquista rara no automobilismo.

Max Verstappen, the dominant force in Formula 1 in recent years, may seek the prestigious ‘triple crown’ of motorsport by competing in the Le Mans and Indy 500 races in the future. Despite his interest in other categories, Verstappen has not yet ventured outside of Formula 1.

Although the Dutch driver has expressed his desire to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, current regulations have prevented him from doing so. However, Verstappen remains open to the possibility of racing in this historic event at a later time.

Verstappen has already achieved all of his goals in Formula 1, becoming a three-time world champion. He has made it clear that he does not intend to continue racing in Formula 1 until he is 40 years old. This raises the question: Can Verstappen go after the triple crown in motorsport?

The unofficial triple crown consists of winning the Formula 1 World Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Indy 500. Only the late legendary Formula 1 driver, Graham Hill, managed to win all three races. McLaren is the only constructor to have achieved victories in all three events. Fernando Alonso was the last Formula 1 driver to attempt the triple crown, but he failed to win the Indy 500, despite his victory in Le Mans with Toyota.

Just like Alonso, Verstappen has already won the Monaco Grand Prix. His interest in Le Mans suggests that he may consider participating in this historic race in the future. At only 26 years old, Verstappen has plenty of time to pursue victory in the 24-hour endurance race.

Although Verstappen has not shown interest in IndyCar at this time, it is possible that he could be drawn to the Indy 500, especially if he secures a victory at Le Mans. The top IndyCar teams, such as Chip Ganassi or Penske, would undoubtedly welcome Verstappen with open arms. McLaren, with the opportunity to race in Indianapolis, could also attract the three-time world champion to join their team.

Undoubtedly, Verstappen would be eager to achieve the triple crown and etch his name in the history books. However, fans may have to wait as the three-time world champion is currently focused on his continued success in Formula 1.
