Christian Horner afirma que a Red Bull conseguiu garantir vitórias em corridas com condições mais desafiadoras.

Christian Horner admitted that Red Bull has faced more challenging races in recent weeks as their rivals have started to catch up. In the past few races, Red Bull has been unable to maintain their dominant position on the F1 grid. However, Team Principal Horner appeared satisfied after winning two out of the last three races.

Horner explained that winning the recent race left him content, especially considering the difficult obstacles they faced. The recent races highlighted an issue with the RB20’s performance on certain corners. However, the team is now focused on improving their performance in specific races later in the year, such as in Singapore.

The 50-year-old acknowledged that teams like Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes have become highly competitive on all race tracks. Despite winning six out of the nine races this season, Horner understands the importance of staying ahead of these teams by performing exceptionally well. He previously stated that the recent competition was an inevitable result of convergence.

Horner mentioned that Mercedes has historically performed well on race tracks like Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Canada, which lack fast corners. However, he also speculated that the recent resurfacing of the track may have favored the silver arrows.

Christian Horner is eager to observe Mercedes’ performance in the upcoming races to determine if their success in Canada was a consistent improvement or just an isolated occurrence. Red Bull had not faced a significant threat from Mercedes before the Montreal weekend.

However, based on the current situation, if Mercedes continues to perform in this way, Horner and his team will need to make improvements to their RB20 to solidify their advantage on the grid once again. Similarly, Mercedes fans would like to see consistency in their performance and a higher position in the constructors’ championship.
