Antigo piloto de Fórmula Um sugere que Daniel Ricciardo deveria ter enfrentado Max Verstappen em vez de sair da Red Bull em 2018.

Daniel Ricciardo has only managed to achieve victory in a single Grand Prix since leaving Red Bull.

A British former Formula 1 driver argued that the RB driver made an incorrect decision when he left Red Bull in 2018. Ricciardo left the team at the end of the 2018 season to join Renault Racing (Alpine).

Since leaving the Milton-Keynes team, Daniel Ricciardo has not been able to perform at the same exceptional level as before. Despite some commendable performances in Shanghai and Montreal, the talented Australian driver continues to be scrutinized while driving for RB.

Martin Brundle, SkySports commentator, discussed Daniel Ricciardo and expressed his belief that the eight-time race winner should have stayed with Red Bull, despite strong competition from his teammate at the time. This teammate has been a dominant force in Formula 1, winning three world championships in the last three years. It is said that Ricciardo left the Austrian team in search of a more favorable position on the grid after being the second driver to Max Verstappen.

Brundle emphasized the importance of Ricciardo reflecting on his skills and identifying any obstacles in his racing abilities. He believes that the 34-year-old driver still possesses the skills and speed necessary to be a formidable force in Formula 1. There are rumors that Ricciardo is starting negotiations for a new contract with the team for next year.

Daniel Ricciardo has opened up about his difficulties before races and provided insights into the external factors affecting his performance. The 34-year-old driver has not been able to achieve his sensational best performance with RB and continues to struggle with his speed and points this season.

The winner of eight Grand Prix races has been reflecting on his mental state before races and believes that he has been dedicating too much time to off-track issues, which has hindered his focus on multiple occasions. As a result, the Australian driver has expressed his intention to remain calm before races and not pay too much attention to critics.

In the Canadian Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo achieved a qualifying position of P5, which was a refreshing change for him. He finished the race in Montreal in P9, which is a positive result for him and the team after a disappointing performance a few weeks earlier in Monaco.
