Lancia mostra o novo Ypsilon HF e o Rally4 HF que marca o regresso da marca aos ralis

Lancia announced in May that it will launch the new Ypsilon HF in 2025, the high-performance version of the brand’s first car of the new era, alongside the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, the model that marks Lancia’s official return to the world of rallying.

Now, the Italian brand has announced that Miki Biasion, the most successful Italian rally driver of all time, who contributed to making Lancia the most victorious brand in the history of the sport, will participate in the development of both models.

“His many years of experience with the Lancia Corse team will be crucial for the development of both models. It is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the brand’s Renaissance, characterized by ambition, pragmatism, and humility, fully in line with the brand’s DNA,” declared Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia.

It is already known that the new Lancia Ypsilon HF will be powered by a 240 hp electric motor capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, and that the sports model will have a lowered stance, an enlarged aggressive and muscular body inspired by the iconic and more radical cars that make up the brand’s history, with form and design in the service of performance.

As for the variant that marks Lancia’s return to rallying, it will be equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo engine, three cylinders, and four valves per cylinder, with 212 hp. With front-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential, the high-performance model represents an ideal solution for all rally enthusiasts, but also a serious competitor for drivers aspiring to victory in the “Rally4” category and two-wheel drive championships.

“I feel extremely honored to be able to support the Lancia product team in the settings and dynamic behavior of the Ypsilon HF, offering a true pleasure of sporty driving to its drivers. I am also very pleased to work with the Stellantis Motorsport team in improving the performance of the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF,” said Miki Biasion.
