VÍDEO: Charles Leclerc consola Lewis Hamilton durante desfile de pilotos do Grande Prêmio do Canadá.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are set to be teammates in the 2025 season at Ferrari. The duo seemed disappointed after a weak start to the weekend in Canada. Meanwhile, at Mercedes, Hamilton was behind by 8-1 in the standings and was seen sitting alone during the drivers’ parade. Leclerc noticed this and comforted the seven-time world champion, patting him on the back.

The Canadian Grand Prix weekend brought unexpected results to the paddock. Both Ferrari cars were eliminated in Q2 for the first time since the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton’s qualifying result was even more disappointing as he secured P7, overshadowed by George Russell’s pole position.

During the drivers’ parade, Leclerc approached Hamilton, who was sitting alone. Leclerc patted Hamilton on the back in an attempt to lift his spirits. Hamilton noticed the gesture and seemed more engaged in the events around him.

As the drivers’ parade continued in the background, Ferrari faced the challenge of turning their below-par qualifying performance into a significant result. Leclerc expressed his disappointment with the team’s performance on the 4.3-kilometer track and emphasized the importance of maximizing their points over the weekend.

Leclerc acknowledged that the SF-24 car has not been as competitive in Montreal compared to Monaco. Even in dry conditions, they have been far from the front of the pack. He believes Ferrari is in damage control mode and must ensure they score as many points as possible in the race.

Despite Leclerc’s assessment of a below-average weekend for Ferrari in Canada, the weather forecast suggests that rain may be favorable for the team. This unpredictable element could potentially shake up the race and offer an opportunity for Ferrari to shine.
