Max Verstappen diz que a Red Bull teve uma Qualificação sólida apesar de não ter conquistado a pole position no GP do Canadá.

Max Verstappen believes securing second place in Qualifying for the Canadian GP was not a disappointment, especially after George Russell claimed pole position. Verstappen, considered a favorite for the 2024 Formula 1 title, has had a challenging season despite his dominance in Formula 1 over the past two years. After losing pole position, the three-time world champion expressed his thoughts on the session.

Finishing second in Qualifying, Verstappen accepted the result and stated that Red Bull had a positive outing in Montreal on Saturday. He acknowledged that the whole weekend had been tough for the Milton Keynes-based team. Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez, was eliminated in Q1.

Despite the challenges, Verstappen was pleased with his second place in the session. The current world champion mentioned that he would have gladly accepted a starting position in second place for the race before going into Qualifying. On Sunday, Verstappen will start right behind pole position holder, George Russell.

Verstappen commented: “I mean, it is what it is, right?! We still had a good qualifying, the whole weekend was tricky for us, so P2 – I accept, definitely would have accepted going into qualifying.”

After a disappointing result in the previous race, Verstappen is looking to return to winning form. He expressed confidence that Sunday’s race could be interesting and provide exciting on-track action for the fans. Verstappen is not stressed about the race start and will certainly try to overtake Russell and take the lead in the first corner. However, unpredictable weather conditions could significantly affect the race order.

The second place of Max Verstappen in the Qualifying sets the stage for an exciting race in Montreal. A victory for Verstappen would be of great benefit to Red Bull, which has faced several challenges in recent weeks. However, it remains to be seen if the three-time world champion can challenge George Russell for the lead at the start of the race.
