Lewis Hamilton critica culpabilização de jogadores negros após Bukayo Saka, do Arsenal, ser alvo de ataques após a derrota da Inglaterra por 1 a 0 para a Islândia.

Bukayo Saka has faced unfair criticism from the English press on several occasions. Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 world champion, has denounced the biased blame that the media puts on black players and athletes. After the English football team’s defeat to Iceland, the media and critics were quick to target Saka and others for their poor performance.

Saka, an English footballer who plays for Arsenal and the national team of England, has consistently been criticized and faced negative reactions due to his racial background. Both at the club and international level, he has been unfairly targeted because of his race.

Hamilton showed his support for Saka after he was heavily criticized for his performance in the game against Iceland before Euro 2024. Hamilton urged the English media to take an impartial approach towards the whole team, instead of focusing on black players because of their race.

Lewis Hamilton shared a post on his Instagram story, calling for the English media to be held accountable for constantly defaming black players. As a strong advocate against racism, Hamilton has spoken out about the scrutiny faced by black individuals worldwide on several occasions. Being the only black driver in Formula 1 history, he has been a vocal advocate for equality throughout his career.

The Mercedes team boss recently explained the situation to Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz amid rumors that Sainz could join Mercedes in 2025. Sainz is currently without a team for the upcoming season, as he will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari.

Mercedes has been in discussions with F2 young sensation George Russell, who is considered a strong candidate for a seat in the team next season. Team manager Toto Wolff has expressed the team’s interest in investing in their young talents, although a final decision has not been made yet.

Carlos Sainz has been performing well this season and has attracted interest from other teams in the category. However, he is still awaiting a definitive decision on his future for next year, while he seeks to showcase his skills during the ongoing 2024 season.
