Verstappen remains optimistic that the team’s efforts to find a solution will pay off, but acknowledges that it will be a lengthy process requiring redesign and innovation.
Verstappen emphasized that the issue of riding over the curbs has been present since the introduction of the new ground effect regulations, but has only recently become more evident. He believes that the problem is receiving more attention now that it is affecting Red Bull’s performance and costing points. The reigning champion expressed confidence that the team is now focused on solving the issue, after productive meetings and discussions at the factory. Verstappen acknowledges that as other teams get closer, Red Bull can no longer rely solely on their advantage, and the issue of riding over the curbs must be addressed. However, he recognizes that making significant changes to the car will take time and cannot be easily achieved within the budget limit.
