Ex-piloto de Fórmula 1 critica Kevin Magnussen por suas ações imprudentes na primeira volta do Grande Prêmio de Mônaco.

Kevin Magnussen has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons this year. The former Formula 1 driver received harsh criticism from Haas after his big collision during the Monaco Grand Prix. Magnussen’s crash with Sergio Perez on the first lap of the race resulted in significant damage to both Haas cars and the Red Bull challenger.

Based in Kannapolis, Haas had a tough start to the season, managing to score only seven points in eight races. Therefore, it was crucial for both their drivers to perform at their best and secure maximum points at the Monaco GP. Unfortunately, Kevin Magnussen’s crash with Sergio Perez also damaged Perez’s car, leaving the team without points at the Monte Carlo event.

Several experts from the motorsport community criticized Magnussen’s decision-making during the race. Jacques Villeneuve expressed disappointment with the lack of remorse from the Danish driver. Magnussen defended his actions in a post-race interview, explaining that he saw an opportunity created by Perez but couldn’t capitalize on it.

Following his crash at the Miami Grand Prix, Magnussen has accumulated 11 penalty points. If he receives just one more, he will face a race ban. As the season progresses towards the Canadian GP, Magnussen will aim to perform better and secure valuable points for his team.

Kevin Magnussen openly stated to the press that the first third of the 2024 season has been the worst start of his career. The 31-year-old driver has only scored a single point in eight races so far.

Magnussen praised the VF-24 car, considering it strong. However, he believes the team has not had the ideal conditions to showcase its performance. Haas scored a total of 12 points last season but remains optimistic about its potential for improvement this year.

Nico Hulkenberg has been in excellent form this season, especially during qualifying sessions. The upcoming race in Canada will be a challenging test for the Haas Challenger, with its high-speed straights and demanding braking zones. The American team has a tough task ahead as they prepare for the race weekend in Montreal.
