Marquez assina com a Ducati: Impacto da decisão importante do MotoGP 2025

In a surprising twist at Mugello, Marc Marquez, Jorge Martin, Ducati, and Aprilia shook up the MotoGP rider market in 2025. Ducati announced that they secured Marquez on a two-year contract, making him the main attraction for the second consecutive year. This move has significant implications for next year’s grid and the current title fight. Initially, it seemed certain that Martin would move up to the factory team alongside Pecco Bagnaia, but that changed abruptly. The reasons for this sudden change are not clear, but it seems that Marquez’s refusal to go to Pramac played a role. Ducati had no choice but to accommodate Marquez’s demands due to his value and the marketing opportunities he brings.

The decision to hire Marquez raised questions about Ducati’s current bike performance. Despite riding an older version of the bike, Marquez has been competitive and is only losing lap times due to the bike’s limitations. Ducati couldn’t afford to lose Marquez, so they had to give him what he wanted. This move solidified Marquez’s position as one of Ducati’s top riders and made him the biggest story in MotoGP this year.

Bagnaia, who wanted Ducati to keep Enea Bastianini as his teammate, now faces the challenge of competing against Marquez in the same garage. This adds another layer of tension to their battle for supremacy. While Bagnaia acknowledges the value of having Marquez on the team, it remains to be seen how their relationship will develop and if it will affect their performance on the track.

Ducati’s attempt to bring Marquez to Pramac was aimed at keeping their main satellite team amidst Yamaha’s competition. However, with Marquez now joining the factory team, it is more likely that Pramac will accept Yamaha’s offer. This means Ducati will have fewer bikes on the grid, and Yamaha will increase its presence after being represented only by its official team in the last two years. Ducati may offer its remaining bikes to other riders, but it is unclear if this will be enough to convince Pramac to stay.

Marquez’s signing also signaled Bastianini’s departure from Ducati. Bastianini is likely to join the Tech3 GasGas team, where he can continue to showcase his talent. Ducati’s announcement confirmed that Bastianini and Martin will leave the team, indicating a major change in Ducati’s structure.

Martin’s move to Aprilia grants him the factory rider status he desired, but also raises questions about his future prospects. Although Aprilia has shown promise this year, it still needs to prove it can sustain a championship fight throughout the season. Martin will be joining a team that is still in development and may face challenges in adapting to the bike. However, he remains optimistic about his chances and believes he can win the championship with Aprilia.

In the rush to finalize Martin’s deal, Aprilia forgot to inform Maverick Vinales, their current rider, about the news. Aprilia still intends to keep Vinales as Martin’s teammate, but this lack of communication may leave Vinales feeling insecure. There is uncertainty about whether Vinales will stay at Aprilia or explore other options. The situation at Aprilia is still ongoing and there may be further developments in the coming months.
