Denny Hamlin critica Kyle Larson por colidir com Kyle Busch em Gateway.

Denny Hamlin believes that the collision between Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch could have been avoided.

One of the most intense moments of the Enjoy Illinois 600 at Gateway on Sunday was the clash between two former Cup champions. During a fierce battle between the drivers, Larson made contact with the left rear of Busch’s Chevy No:8, resulting in both hitting the wall.

The collision ended up ruining Kyle Busch’s race, forcing him to retire due to damage to his car. However, Larson was able to recover from the accident and finished in 10th place.

According to veteran driver Denny Hamlin, Larson is to blame for the incident. He stated that Larson annoyed Busch by sliding and hitting his left rear. In retaliation, Busch slammed the door on Larson, and the subsequent collision caused the accident.

Hamlin also suggested that Larson’s maneuver on Busch may be a strategy taught by the HMS team. He recalled a similar incident involving Alex Bowman in the previous week’s Coca-Cola 600.

If this is indeed a strategy employed by HMS, Hamlin emphasized that there is a high likelihood of similar incidents occurring in future races. This will depend on how other drivers respond to these maneuvers.
