Zak Brown sugere que a Andretti-Cadillac poderia adquirir uma equipe atual da F1, mesmo que nenhuma equipe esteja oficialmente à venda.

Andretti-Cadillac received advice from various people within the racing community to acquire an existing team on the Formula 1 grid. Despite showing promise, Michael Andretti and Zak Brown faced a firm rejection from Formula 1 when trying to join as the 11th team. Despite their efforts, Formula 1 remains firm in their decision to reject the team. In light of this, several people, including [names], suggested that Andretti-Cadillac consider buying an existing team on the grid.

After Formula 1’s official rejection of their offer, FIA President [name] also recommended that Andretti-Cadillac explore the option of acquiring an existing team. [name] noted that this would be the easiest way for Andretti-Cadillac to enter the grid. However, McLaren CEO Zak Brown added that currently there are no teams available for sale on the grid.

Despite rival teams’ reluctance to be sold, Andretti-Cadillac would need to present a tempting offer. The American constructor must be prepared to invest a significant amount of money to secure their place on the grid. However, no team is currently indicating that they are open for sale in the upcoming seasons. Brown mentioned that there may still be a possibility of a team becoming available for purchase in the future.

In previous years, joining the grid or acquiring an existing team was a more accessible and straightforward process. Brown recalled that Williams was sold to Dorilton Capital for approximately $150 million. However, in the current season, it is unlikely that any team would be sold for less than $1.5 billion. This poses a potential obstacle for Andretti-Cadillac in their pursuit of acquiring an existing team.

In addition, the commercial rights holder of Formula 1, [name], currently has a strong list of ten teams with promising prospects. As a result, it will be challenging to convince the authorities to consider adding another team to the grid. However, if Liberty Media considers the idea of expanding to an 11th and 12th team, they would impose strict criteria.

Therefore, Andretti-Cadillac must carefully evaluate their options and reassess their chances of entering Formula 1 or exploring the possibility of buying another team. Despite the challenges, the American constructor remains steadfast in their dream of competing on the grid. Andretti-Cadillac recently built their own facility in Silverstone, which is comparable in size to the Haas F1 team headquarters.
