Guenther Steiner asks Red Bull to offer opportunities to other individuals amid rumors of a 1-year contract extension for Sergio Perez.

Guenther Steiner pede à Red Bull para oferecer oportunidades a outros indivíduos em meio a rumores de extensão de contrato de 1 ano de Sergio Perez.

Sergio Perez has been practicing his profession at Red Bull since 2021. The former Haas team principal urged Red Bull to be more inclusive and open to other drivers on the grid, giving them a chance to join the team. Rumors suggest that Red Bull has offered a one-year contract extension to Perez, whose current contract expires at the end of the season.

Guenther Steiner has been critical of Sergio Perez’s recent performance, especially in the last three races, where he failed to qualify beyond Q2 in two of them. Steiner believes that renewing Perez’s contract will be costly for Red Bull, as the Mexican driver could potentially hinder their progress.

Despite leading the constructors’ championship by a narrow margin of 24 points, Red Bull’s recent performances in Monaco and Miami have been disappointing, with Sergio Perez failing to secure crucial points. McLaren and Ferrari are quickly catching up to Red Bull and pose as strong contenders for the constructors’ championship.

Yuki Tsunoda, from Visa Cash App RB, has been performing impressively and has expressed his interest in securing a place at Red Bull. Steiner also mentioned the availability of other drivers for the next season, but only time will reveal who will be driving alongside Max Verstappen next season.

A former F1 driver made a prediction about the potential number of wins for Verstappen by the end of the 2024 season. Verstappen, who is currently 26 years old, has already claimed five victories in eight possible races this season.

Red Bull’s performance this season is far from their dominant best, as the team has struggled to find rhythm at certain circuits. While Max Verstappen won 19 out of 23 races last season, he has already failed to win three races this year, indicating a drop in the team’s performance.

McLaren and Ferrari are the main challengers to Red Bull in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship, due to their strong performances. Red Bull and their team will look to bounce back in the upcoming races in Canada and Spain, to solidify their position at the top of the standings.
