VÍDEO: Chase Briscoe fala sobre a escolha de Tony Stewart de encerrar a Stewart Hass Racing.

Chase Briscoe reached the Cup series under the guidance of Stewart Haas Racing. Tony Stewart and Chase Briscoe (Via IMAGO) joined forces in 2009 to create a partnership. Over the years, the team achieved great success with 69 career wins in the Cup series and two driver championships. However, the owners recently announced that the organization will be shut down and cease its operations. In response to this news, the No.14 driver expressed his heartfelt feelings.

As the 2024 season approached, SHR faced financial instability after losing eight primary sponsors. The team’s performance had also suffered, with only three wins in the last two years. The owners felt the pressure mounting and decided to close operations at the end of the 2024 season. The North Carolina-based team was losing sponsors rapidly and the workload on SHR personnel was becoming overwhelming.

Following this announcement, Chase Briscoe went to X to share his emotional message. Briscoe, who had started his Cup series career with SHR, was shocked by the news of the team’s closure. He expressed his disbelief and hoped that all SHR personnel would find new opportunities in the field. The team’s dissolution could bring challenging times for engineers and workers.

Stewart Haas has been a second home for me and my family for the past seven years. At the end of this year, both I and the entire organization will be looking for a new home and new opportunities in the Cup series. I am grateful to the incredible partners who have supported me and hope to achieve victory with them again… pic.twitter.com/uXkPGN7pH7

Although concerned about the future of his colleagues, Briscoe’s own future remains uncertain. The 29-year-old driver had a contract with Stewart Haas Racing until the end of 2025. However, with the team closing down, his plans were thrown into uncertainty.

Reflecting on his current situation, the race-winning driver admitted that he has no concrete plans for the future. He believes he will be able to secure a spot elsewhere in the field, but the outcome remains uncertain after SHR’s unexpected announcement.

Despite the shocking news, the No. 14 driver remains determined to improve his performance in the Cup series. With only one top-five finish this season, he aims to increase his number in the upcoming 300-mile race in Illinois. Briscoe sees this as an opportunity to secure his future in the Cup series.
