Toto Wolff diz que se aproximou de Helmut Marko em meio a tensões com Christian Horner.

Helmut Marko played a crucial role in Red Bull’s success in Formula 1. The team has been involved in constant drama since the start of the 2024 season. The campaign began with accusations against their team principal, but he denied them. However, these maneuvers resulted in a power struggle between the team principal and the team. Now, the team principal has revealed that his relationship with Marko has improved, reigniting rumors once again.

Red Bull recently announced that they have mutually agreed to part ways with Adrian Newey, the renowned designer, starting in the first quarter of 2025. This fueled speculation in the paddock about the possible departure of key figures from the team as power struggles begin to emerge.

On the other hand, Toto Wolff recently stated that he and Helmut Marko have grown closer amidst these power struggles. Despite the rivalry between their respective manufacturers and their history of conflicts, they share similar thoughts. Wolff also took a jab at Christian Horner’s situation and stated that he and Marko think alike when it comes to people’s behavior. This statement reignited rumors that Marko could join Mercedes, which had decreased slightly after the early rounds of the season.

Despite rumors about Marko moving to Mercedes, the German team has not been meeting expectations in terms of on-track performance recently. This was evident in Monaco, when they tried to outperform their rivals but failed. The Mercedes team principal later admitted the mistake made by the team. There was a communication gap, and Lewis Hamilton should have been informed about the critical nature of the out lap. However, this information was not conveyed, costing the team the opportunity to overtake their struggling competitor and improve their position in the constructors’ standings.

Hamilton appeared to be disappointed with the actions of the team based in Brackley. However, there is still a long way to go before the end of the season, and the British driver will be determined to end his partnership with Mercedes on a positive note before moving to his next team next season.
