Ocon admite erros após incidente com Alpine no Grande Prêmio de Mônaco da Fórmula 1.

Esteban Ocon, a member of the Alpine F1 team, responded by stating that mistakes happen after his collision with his teammate Pierre Gasly, which resulted in his elimination from the Monaco Grand Prix, a Formula 1 race. Just before the race was red-flagged due to Sergio Perez colliding with two Haas cars, Ocon tried to overtake Gasly at turn 8 before the famous Monaco tunnel. Gasly was being blocked by Alex Albon from Williams, so Ocon saw an opportunity to pass his teammate. However, the maneuver was unsuccessful, resulting in contact between the two cars and Ocon crashing heavily. The damage was too severe for Ocon to continue racing. Ocon expressed regret for the incident, acknowledging that it was an unfortunate event. The team tried to repair the car, but the damage was too extensive. The first lap of the race was chaotic, and Ocon hopes the team can still score some points. He emphasized the need to be cautious while aiming for a position in the top 10. Ocon recognized that mistakes happen in high-pressure situations, such as in qualifying. The stewards held Ocon responsible for the collision and imposed a five-place grid penalty for the next race in Montreal, Canada. Colliding with a teammate is a fundamental rule that all Formula 1 drivers are instructed not to break, and Alpine is understandably disappointed with Ocon’s risky move on the first lap. Furthermore, the team will have to bear the financial burden of repairing the gearbox and suspension arms damaged in the collision. Ocon later apologized on his social media for his role in the incident and expressed his hope for a strong team performance. As of now, Gasly is in 10th place in the race.
