The American actress Anya Taylor-Joy made an appearance on the grid of the Monaco GP to show her support for Lewis Hamilton.

The prestigious Monte Carlo GP is currently taking place. This street race is considered the pinnacle of motorsport and attracts stars from around the world to the city-state. One of the notable celebrities present this weekend was the American actress.

Taylor-Joy was seen just before the start of the race. The famous star of Mad Max: Furiosa was interviewed by the Formula 1 presenter on the Monte Carlo grid. Brundle mentioned Taylor-Joy’s upcoming movie, ‘Furiosa’. The actress revealed that her reason for visiting the F1 paddock this weekend was.

The actress confirmed that Lewis Hamilton is a close friend of hers. As a result, the 28-year-old was cheering for the Mercedes driver during the race. Taylor-Joy also referred to the seven-time world champion as an “absolute legend,” highlighting the strong bond between the two.

Lewis Hamilton has had a successful weekend in Monaco so far. The seven-time world champion is feeling more comfortable with the W15 car compared to the start of the season. Before the race, Hamilton expressed his joy in competing in the iconic street race.

The British driver mentioned that racing on the streets of Monte Carlo is a true privilege for him. He even admitted to pinching himself every morning during the Monaco GP weekend, as he has been part of F1 since 2007.

Undoubtedly, Lewis Hamilton has a great appreciation for the history of the Monaco GP. The seven-time world champion was fortunate to win this race in the past. However, it seems that repeating such a feat this year will be a challenge for the British driver, as he starts from seventh position in the race.
