VÍDEO: Max Verstappen expressa frustração na comunicação da equipe após bater na barreira em sua última volta no Qualifying do Grande Prêmio de Mônaco.

Max Verstappen has been facing difficulties in Monaco since the beginning of the race weekend. When the Formula 1 teams arrived in Monaco, it seemed like Verstappen and Red Bull were the favorites to secure pole position. However, as the weekend progressed, it became evident that the RB20 car had issues at the rear, leading to unstable handling. This problem became apparent during qualifying, when Verstappen pushed the car to the limit and collided with the barrier at turn one.

Verstappen equaled a record in Imola for the longest consecutive poles and was expected to surpass that record in Monaco. Unfortunately, Red Bull struggled with pace on the 3.3-kilometer circuit and couldn’t handle the kerbs as well as their rivals. During Q3, Verstappen tried to push in Sainte Devote, but ended up hitting the barriers, ruining his lap.

The 26-year-old driver had set out to secure pole position in Monaco. However, his hopes were dashed when he hit the barriers and expressed his frustration over the radio, citing the slippery condition of the car as a potential disaster for the upcoming race.

Despite the challenges faced during qualifying, Verstappen managed to reach Q3 unlike his teammate. However, the team boss acknowledged the below-par performance and explained that the car was not suited to the track. Despite remaining optimistic about Verstappen’s chances of securing a front-row spot, the Dutchman’s lap came to an abrupt end, resulting in a sixth-place qualifying position for Red Bull.

On the other hand, taking advantage of Red Bull’s decline in performance, Mercedes secured the top four positions on the grid. In addition, the home driver, [Driver’s Name], expressed his excitement about his chances of victory, as he will start from pole position, setting the stage for an exciting race in Monaco.
