Max Verstappen é elogiado por Christian Horner como uma “máquina de corrida” após a dupla vitória do piloto holandês em Imola.

Christian Horner praised Max Verstappen’s exceptional performance as he emerged as the winner of the Emilia Romagna GP. Verstappen, alongside Red Bull team boss Horner, had a busy schedule, competing not only in Formula 1 but also taking part in the Nurburgring Virtual 24 Hours. Impressively, Verstappen triumphed in both races, earning him praise from Horner for his successful weekend.

Horner described Verstappen as a remarkable talent and emphasized the countless hours the Dutch driver dedicates to testing different car setups. Even with his participation in the virtual race on iRacing, Verstappen showed no signs of exhaustion during the main event. Horner highlighted Verstappen’s victories in both the RB20 and a virtual BMW M3, praising his exceptional skills that led him to pole position in Imola and ultimately a masterful performance in the main race.

Despite a challenging start in Imola, Verstappen faced difficulties with the updates introduced by Red Bull. However, the team’s efforts paid off during qualifying, resulting in Verstappen securing his fifth win of the season. After the race, Verstappen acknowledged the crucial role played by the entire team, emphasizing the importance of the team members at the factory and the simulator drivers based in Milton Keynes. The Dutch driver credited them for his triumph in the Emilia Romagna GP, with the former Formula 1 driver and Formula E champion acting as Red Bull’s main simulator driver.

Although Verstappen overcame a challenging weekend, the current world champion now faces increased pressure. Red Bull aims to ensure the effectiveness of their new updates in the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. It remains to be seen whether Verstappen will be able to secure a victory on the streets of Monte Carlo this year.
