Horner identifies key piece in Red Bull’s recovery at the Formula 1 Imola Grand Prix.

Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing in Formula 1, praised the contribution of reserve driver Sebastien Buemi in their victory at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Despite dominating the early stages of the season, Red Bull faced difficulties during the practice sessions at Imola. However, team star driver Max Verstappen managed to secure pole position and withstand a late challenge from Lando Norris to clinch the win. Verstappen credited the team’s setup adjustments for his recovery, with Horner highlighting Buemi’s work at the team’s base as crucial. Buemi, who previously raced for Red Bull’s sister team, returned as a reserve driver in 2019 to assist with simulations. Horner emphasized the importance of off-track team activities in their success, stating that overall team support and the contributions of reserve drivers played a significant role in the turnaround at Imola.
