Mercedes pronta para corrigir fraqueza no carro de F1 W15 – Allison

Lewis Hamilton, British driver for Mercedes AMG in the Formula 1 World Championship, took part in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Italy, on May 17, 2024. Mercedes is confident that it is making progress in resolving the handling issues of its 2024 Formula 1 car. The team started the season with optimism, introducing a redesigned car to address the issues of previous models. However, Mercedes has faced challenges and currently sits in fourth place in the constructors’ championship, without any podium finishes in the first six races. In an effort to improve, Mercedes introduced a modified floor in the previous race in Miami and brought more updates for this weekend’s race, including refinements in the floor area. James Allison, technical director of Mercedes, believes the team is starting to better understand the challenging W15 and had a promising start in Imola. He cautiously acknowledges that there have been improvements with the new parts, but emphasizes that progress is gradual. Allison hopes that Mercedes has identified and corrected its flaws to avoid further setbacks. Despite the difficulties, he finds satisfaction in overcoming challenges and hopes to continue progressing. Mercedes has struggled to find the right balance between high-speed and low-speed corners, affecting overall performance. However, with Lewis Hamilton teasing future updates, Allison reveals that Mercedes is on track to solve this issue in the upcoming races. He acknowledges that this track, Imola, is not as demanding in terms of speed in corners, making it relatively easier to address the problem. Allison believes that Mercedes has been slightly slower than other teams in addressing this issue, but assures that it will be progressively resolved in the next races.
