Fórmula 3 pilotos se preparam para Imola após hiato de dois meses.

Sophia Florsch, driver for Van Amersfoort Racing, took part in the FIA Formula 3 Championship Sprint Race in Melbourne, Australia, on March 23, 2024. After a break of almost two months, F3 is returning to action in Imola this weekend. Before the races, several drivers discussed how they stayed prepared during the long break. The upcoming stages in Imola and Monaco will be held back-to-back, followed by a one-month break before a series of three races in Europe. Alpine Academy driver Sophia Floersch emphasized the importance of preparing for this condensed period of the calendar during the break between Australia and Imola. She mentioned using time in the simulator, time spent in the gym, and working with the team to prepare for the upcoming European races.

Charlie Wurz, from Jenzer Motorsport, who is in his debut season in F3, talked about the need for physical preparation due to limited time on the track. He mentioned the challenges posed by the testing limit and explained that he focused on off-track training to improve his physical fitness. Wurz also mentioned using the simulator with the team in Switzerland to prepare for over two months before this stage and the next one. He considered it advantageous that Imola is the first track on the 2024 F3 calendar where he has competed before, having previous experience in Formula 4 and the Alpine Regional European Formula Championship. Wurz expressed his pleasure with the track and the fun of driving with the F3 car’s aerodynamic pressure. He believed that his familiarity with the track would give him an advantage and increase his confidence for this stage. Wurz emphasized the importance of being ready from the start and feeling confident to push the limits in F3.
