Hamilton acredita que a Mercedes está seguindo na direção certa com atualizações na Fórmula 1 a caminho.

Lewis Hamilton, the British driver of Mercedes AMG F1, expressed confidence in the team’s progress with their 2024 Formula 1 car. He revealed that there are updates in progress. Despite a challenging start to the season, Hamilton believes Mercedes made the right choices in redesigning the car concept. The team currently sits in fourth place in the standings. George Russell, another Mercedes driver, acknowledged that the team may have gone too far with modifications to the W15, trying to eliminate flaws from its predecessor. However, Mercedes made progress by introducing a revised floor in the previous race in Miami. This weekend in Imola, the team will continue to implement new parts to address the car’s inherent issues. Hamilton is optimistic about the developments and believes the team has found the right direction for improvement. He recognizes that it will take time, but praises the team’s resilience and determination. Despite setbacks, they remain focused on doing their best every weekend.

In tabloid format, Mercedes is optimistic about understanding their issues. However, Hamilton denies feeling “depressed” about having to wait for updates that could potentially improve the team’s performance. He sees it as a game of patience and making the most of the resources available. The encouraging part is that progress is being made at the factory, in the wind tunnel. New components are on the way and the team is excited to test them out and see what works. There is a clear direction ahead and the team is working hard to bring these improvements sooner. Hamilton took confidence from his performance in Miami, where he managed to keep up with Red Bull’s Sergio Perez. This showed the narrow operating window that Mercedes is currently working in. Extracting maximum performance from the car is not easy, but Hamilton made some changes to the setup that improved his performance on Sunday. He was able to stay close to Perez using the DRS and gaining time. Overall, Hamilton was pleased with how close he was able to get to his competitor.
