Charles Leclerc prioriza a vitória acima de tudo enquanto se prepara para o GP da Emilia Romagna.

Charles Leclerc has not been successful in winning a race in Formula 1 since the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver has struggled to challenge Red Bull’s dominance in the sport, and his last victory was during his failed attempt to win the championship in 2022. In contrast, Leclerc’s teammate at Ferrari has managed to win two races since last season. As the first Italian race weekend of the season approaches in Imola, the 26-year-old driver has expressed his determination to win in front of the Tifosi.

Ferrari has made significant progress in closing the gap to Red Bull this season. Leclerc mentioned that this gives him hope of winning a race if the team has a flawless weekend. Furthermore, the Monegasque driver made it clear that finishing second or third is irrelevant to him. His sole focus is to secure a victory in Formula 1.

Leclerc also emphasized the excitement of having opportunities to win races again. He believes this is positive not only for the Ferrari team, but also for the millions of fans around the world who support the team every race weekend.

Both Mercedes and Red Bull have had setbacks in the first six races of the 2024 season. Carlos Sainz’s victory at the Australian Grand Prix came after Max Verstappen suffered a mechanical failure. Additionally, McLaren’s Lando Norris managed to overtake Verstappen in Miami after inheriting the lead during a Safety Car period. It seems like their rivals now have the speed to truly challenge Red Bull’s dominance.

Leclerc stated that he welcomes this level of competition with open arms, as it is beneficial for the sport. He highlights how Sainz and Norris managed to defeat Verstappen and reach the top of the podium. As a result, Leclerc is motivated to fight for victory in Imola and the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix.

Undoubtedly, the next racing weekend in Imola will be thrilling for fans. Red Bull and Max Verstappen may face a real threat from Ferrari, with McLaren not far behind. However, it remains to be seen if Leclerc will be able to overcome the current world champion in Ferrari’s first home race of the season.
