Christian Horner afirma que a Red Bull se adaptou ao estilo de trabalho de Adrian Newey ao longo dos anos.

Adrian Newey will leave the Red Bull team in 2025 after a partnership that lasted almost twenty years. The renowned engineer’s innovative creations led to an impressive 13 world championships for the powerful Austrian team, making their collaboration inseparable and crucial to their monumental success. This highlighted the strong dependence between the two parties and how they adapted to each other’s working methods.

In 2006, Adrian Newey joined Red Bull with the aim of bringing glory to the new Austrian team. With a remarkable track record of world championships and a reputation for intricate designs, Newey’s approach was expected to evolve as the F1 landscape changed. However, Christian Horner revealed that the 65-year-old engineer still adheres to traditional methods when developing his masterpieces.

Horner, who is 50 years old, explained that the structure within the Red Bull F1 headquarters was adapted to accommodate Newey’s preferences. Despite technological advances, the Englishman still relies on drawing boards to visualize his ideas. Red Bull made adjustments to support his working style, and the team’s efforts have been rewarded with great success in Formula 1, establishing them as a formidable force.

Although internal conflicts within Red Bull may have played a role in Newey’s decision to sever ties with the team, it did not affect the relationship between Horner and his compatriot. Horner clarified that the departure of the 65-year-old engineer was a mutual agreement between the two parties. He expressed his understanding of Newey’s perspective and emphasized that their personal relationship remains intact. Horner also expressed gratitude for Newey’s invaluable contributions that propelled Red Bull to its current position of excellence.

Despite the split, there is a strong possibility that Newey will find a new home within the Formula 1 grid. This could be a significant blow to Red Bull’s prospects, as the design genius has the potential to work wonders for any other team, potentially causing a decline in Red Bull’s performance.
