Vídeo: Ex-piloto da RCR elogia carros da próxima geração como os melhores da história da NASCAR.

The Next-Gen vehicle has brought several changes to the racing sport. The Goodyear 400 in Darlington showed the impact of these cars. Since their introduction in 2022, Next-Gen cars have been the subject of great controversy. They have delighted and frustrated fans and drivers, creating a unique mix of opinions. A former NASCAR driver and a former RCR driver have expressed their own distinct views on the car’s performance.

The former Truck Series champion seems to be a fervent supporter of Next-Gen cars. During the event in Darlington, he expressed his belief that these vehicles are the best ever produced by NASCAR. He emphasized their safety, speed, and impressive sound. According to Skinner, the current cars are the most remarkable he has ever witnessed.

In my opinion, this car is the most astonishing creation in NASCAR history. It possesses both safety and speed, as well as exuding a certain fascination. Personally, I consider the current Cup car the most exceptional to date.

It is important to consider Skinner’s perspective on the cars, despite not having driven a Cup car since 2012. However, his extensive experience in the sport cannot be ignored. His fondness for the car comes from its compatibility with his racing style, which prioritizes speed over tire management.

Before giving his verdict on the car, Skinner acknowledged that it is a vehicle that suits him exceptionally well. He stated that he would have excelled in driving it. He admitted not having the necessary skill to control tire wear, but with the Next-Gen car being less demanding in that aspect, he believes he would have performed admirably.

The Next-Gen car continues to be a topic of ongoing debates in the sport. Unless NASCAR addresses certain issues, such as low-quality racing on short tracks, discussions around these cars will persist. Skinner’s opinion may be somewhat biased, but it contains valid points regarding safety.
