Denny Hamlin believes that William Byron is responsible for the incident in the second stage at Darlington. He argued that the maneuver made by the Chevy No: 24 driver was intended to cause an accident. That’s why Ryan Blaney, who was involved in the incident, was extremely frustrated with Byron.
Before giving his verdict on the incident, Hamlin noted that the strategy used by Byron, who has won three races this season, has a very low success rate and a high probability of causing a crash. It was the responsibility of the Chevy driver to stay on the inside lane and not force his way up the track.
According to Denny Hamlin, the Toyota Camry No: 11 also suffered significant damage as a result of the incident. He explained that his car made contact with the Ford, which had already made contact with Blaney’s car after hitting the wall.
