Astros e decepcionados da ação empolgante de Berlim na Fórmula E

The Berlin E-Prix of two stages in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League had a fresh look with a revised layout and new faces due to injuries and clashes with the World Endurance Championship. However, once the races started, it was a familiar sight with intense racing that left the drivers on edge and resulted in flat tires and front wing plates scattered. This weekend had the potential to significantly impact the season, but did it? Here are the winners and losers of the frenetic races in Tempelhof.

Nick Cassidy, known for his agility and understanding of high-energy racing, showed his consistency and averaged 17.5 points per race, putting him in a strong position for the championship. Despite the challenges, Cassidy remains focused on treating each race as if it were the first, ensuring the best performance and results.

Antonio Felix da Costa’s victory for Porsche in Tempelhof was a significant achievement considering doubts about his suitability as a driver for the team. He overcame obstacles and proved his ability to win races. Although his future in Formula E may not be with Porsche, he showed his potential to bounce back and attract offers from other teams.

Oliver Rowland stood out by gaining positions during this season’s races. His strategic approach and ability to get things done put him in a good position in the championship. Despite struggling with car balance issues, Rowland’s aggressive driving style helped him secure podiums.

Tom Barnard, the youngest driver in Formula E history, impressed with his calmness and agility on the track. He scored points in both races in Berlin and gained valuable experience for his career.

Edoardo Mortara and the Mahindra team faced numerous challenges this season, but finally secured a points-scoring position in Berlin. Although Mortara may not be able to challenge for wins or podiums with the current package, consistently scoring points puts Mahindra in a positive position for the upcoming races.

Stand-in drivers for clashes in the World Endurance Championship, including Paul Aron, Kelvin van der Linde, and Jordan King, showed impressive pace throughout the weekend. Joel Eriksson, with more previous experience in Formula E, eventually secured points and demonstrated his competitiveness.

Pascal Wehrlein had a mixed weekend, with damage to the front wing and collisions with other cars. He struggled to position himself favorably, despite his strong performances in qualifying. Wehrlein expressed frustration with the current race format, where qualifying doesn’t hold much importance.

Stoffel Vandoorne had a disappointing weekend, with his race strategies not yielding the expected results. He was involved in collisions and suffered damage to the front wing, resulting in races without scoring. Despite a podium in Monaco, Vandoorne is still seeking a major achievement in the Gen3 era.

Norman Nato faced pressure at the Andretti team and struggled to achieve results despite strong performances in qualifying. He acknowledged the need for luck in races and lamented the difficulties he faced this season.

The Abt Cupra team showed promise in qualifying with a one-two on the front row in wet track conditions, but failed to convert this into points during the races. Problems and damage compromised their performances, leaving them with no points to show for their efforts.

Maximilian Guenther had a challenging weekend, with both races ending in accidents. Despite starting in a strong position, his races were interrupted due to front wing failures and collisions with other cars. Guenther missed the chance to score points at his home track.
