After many misfortunes so far in 2024, António Félix da Costa achieved his first victory of the Formula E season this Sunday. It was in the second race of the Berlin round, on the circuit designed at the former Tempelhof airport.

On Saturday, Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra) secured pole position and led the first laps, but it was Nick Cassidy (Jaguar TCS Racing) who prevailed in the end. The New Zealander made the decisive overtake on the 43rd of the 46 laps, leaving behind the leader at the time, Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Penske).

From then on, Cassidy controlled the events and won with a 4.651s lead over the Frenchman. The podium was completed by Oliver Rowland (Nissan), with Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) in fourth and Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) finishing fifth after leading for part of the race. Félix da Costa (TAG Heuer Porsche) had a good start and was running in the top five, finishing in sixth place.

In the second race, the story was very different. Jake Dennis (Andretti/Porsche) led the first lap from pole position, but there were constant changes in the lead in the early laps. Coming from seventh on the grid, Félix da Costa quickly recovered and led for the first time on the seventh lap.

A constant presence in the fight for the podium, the Portuguese definitively took the lead on the 36th of the 41 laps, overtaking Evans – who at the same time also lost position to Rowland. Until the end, Félix da Costa did not escape the pressure from his rivals, but delivered a solid performance to win by 0.691s ahead of Cassidy. Rowland completed the podium, ahead of Wehrlein and Dennis.

After passing through Berlin, Cassidy leads the championship with 140 points, but 16 ahead of Wehrlein. In third place is Rowland, 22 points behind the leader. As for Félix da Costa, he is in eighth place, 81 points behind the leader. There are still six races to be disputed, in three different rounds: Shanghai (China), Portland (United States of America) and London (United Kingdom).
